Shakespeare's Clownes: A Foole's Guide to Shakespeare. Adapted and Performed by Curt Tofteland

MONMOUTH -  – Have you ever had to decide whether a certain someone is a clown or a fool? There are several fine distinctions you may want to know about before you make your decision, and The Theater At Monmouth will help you. Shakespeare’s Clownes: A Foole’s Guide to Shakespeare will be presented at 7:30pm on Saturday, June 26 at Cumston Hall in Monmouth. In this delightful romp, Curt L. Tofteland explores the wide range of comedic characters who populate William Shakespeare’s plays in a way guaranteed to leave you laughing.

Shakespeare divided his comedic characters into two specific and unique groups – the clown and the fool. In this one man tour de force, Tofteland brings to life Feste, Bottom, Jaques, Peter Quince, Polonius, Autolycus, Launce, Petruchio, Dromio, Falstaff, Caliban, Trinculo, Stephano, and Prospero.

Tickets are just$22 for adults, $18 seniors and students, and you can purchase your seats online anytime at: www.theateratmonmouth.org or call the TAM Box Office: 207-933-9999.

Tofteland is new to The Theater At Monmouth, and he will also direct Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, at 3:30pm, Friday, July 9th .
