BELFAST, Maine — The Belfast Historical Society & Museum is pleased to announce “Window on History,” our televised version of our monthly free programs, has had a successful first year. Indeed, it’s been so well received that we’ve expanded “Window on History” from seven to ten months.
“Window on History”, Season II, premiers on January 24th with Voices of Belfast Past. Tune in to Belfast Community Television, BCTV-2, to visit with long- time Belfast residents Harold Jones and Capt. Bill Abbott. Megan Pinette, President of the Belfast Historical Society, will serve as host and provide commentary and archival photos to illustrate the interviews.
BCTV-2 will air “Window on History” on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. Each program will be shown for one month. You can also enjoy the program on our website, www.belfastmuseum.org, or borrow a DVD of the program from the Belfast Library.
As of April, we hope you’ll venture over to the Belfast Free Library for the beginning of seven months of “Live at the Library” programs. As in the past, the programs are free to the public and held in the Abbott Room at 7 p.m. from April through October.
