ORONO â€“ The University of Maine will hold its 23rd Culturefest from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the UMaine Field House. Culturefest attracts more than 1,000 visitors from campus and from communities across Maine. It is sponsored by the UMaine Office of International Programs and provides UMaine’s international students a showcase for their talents and traditions from as many as 70 countries and cultures from around the world.
Culturefest is free and open to the public. Members of the UMaine International Student Association will serve traditional homeland cuisine in the food court area from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for a small donation. Students also will perform a talent show, a fashion show, and have information tables with maps, flags and cultural items. The event will offer activities for children.
