UMaine Intermedia MFA guest speaker Laurence Le Bouhellic

ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine Intermedia MFA program will host the distinguished art critic and philosopher, Laurence Le Bouhellec, for the annual Dick Higgins Memorial Lecture. Le Bouhellic will present two lectures. The first, titled “Process of Artistic Subjectification and Production” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Lord Hall 100. The second, titled “From the Unconscious of Artistic Production, Power, Subject and Art” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Stodder Hall 48, on the UMaine campus. Le Bouhellic uses an innovative approach by combining philosophy and art as a way to reconsider cultural and social problems.
