UMaine Canada Weeks speakers

ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine Canadian-American Center is cosponsoring a series of lectures during its 12th annual celebration of Canadian Weeks held on Oct. 13, 19-20.

The center presents University of Laval professor of history Jocelyn Letourneau from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Bodwell Lounge of the Collins Center of the Arts.¬† Letourneau’s lecture, “Quebec is Moving. OK But In What Direction?” is a luncheon event, free to those who RSVP by calling 581-4220.

The Lecture Series will continue with speakers Charles Deshaies, Stefano Tijerina and Rebecca White beginning at noon Wednesday, Oct. 19, in the Coe Room of the Memorial Union.

Sasha Mullally will speak at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in Hill Auditorium in Barrows Hall.
