CHERRYFIELD, Maine — Tunk Mountain Arts & Crafts will celebrate its grand opening from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, August 7,in Cherryfield.
In addition to a tour of the gallery and studio, a dedication presentation will be made in honor of master craftsman and collector, William D. Sherar, who designed and built the structure which houses the gallery and studio. The event will also feature live music with Mary Spence and Muk Dodge. Refreshments will be served.
Gallery owner and artist, Cynthia Huntington, is one of the five current exhibiting artists. The others include Starr Kopper, Sarah Murphy, Zoltan Farkas, and Hugh Lassen. The work on display features paintings, sculpture, drawings, photography as well as functional and decorative crafts including hand carved furniture and a collection of carved waterfowl.
