STATEWIDE-Â The Maine based health, wellness and sports radio talk show, The Designer Health Net Talk Show, sponsored by Katahdin Valley Health Center begins its ambitious and in depth series on chemical dependency on Sept. 5.
The series called; Lifting the Veil: The Anatomy of Chemical Dependency and Recovery looks at addiction and alcoholism from a chronological perspective. From the Beginnings (the title of Part 1) we learn about many triggers and circumstances which can aid in the onset of addiction and a life filled with struggle. Part 2 – Spiraling shows how chemical dependency infiltrates the addicted persons entire existence. Part 3 – Connections brings family and friends to the forefront and shows how chemical dependency is truly a “family disease”. Part 4 – The Depths enters the dark world of those who have hit “rock bottom” and Part 5 – Awakening sheds light on those who find their way and survive chemical dependency.
The Designer Health Net Talk Show’s 5 part series; Lifting the Veil: The Anatomy of Chemical Dependency and Recovery begins airing at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5 on 93.7 WRMO in Milbridge, 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12 on 100.1 WHOU in Houlton and at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 on Portland’s Big Jab 96.3. All of these shows are available “Live Streaming” from each of the aforementioned radio stations.
