OWL’S HEAD – Marla Haskins Rogers of Owlâ€™s Head spent her early years growing up at lighthouses, including Owlâ€™s Head Light. Marla will speak about her family memories of those days at a program sponsored by the Mussel Ridge Historical Society at 7pm on Wednesday, August 25th.Â The program is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Owlâ€™s Head Community Building at 224 Ash Point Dr and light refreshments will be served.
Marla Rogers is the daughter of former Owlâ€™s Head Light keeper Archford V. Haskins. His appointments included those as keeper at Boston Head Light, Great Point Light in Nantucket, MA., Sankety Head Light in Nantucket, MA and Owlâ€™s Head Light. Marlaâ€™s presentation will focus on Sankety Head Light and Owlâ€™s Head Light.
