WINTER HARBOR, Maine –Â Franklin H. Price, Senior Archeologist with the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research, will present an illustrated lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, at the Moore Auditorium on the campus of the Schoodic Education and Research Center, Acadia National Park in Winter Harbor. His topic is three archaeological projects in the Mount Desert Island area, focusing on vessel recording, maritime history, and the use of local informants to locate archaeological sites. Each project will be described, with a brief discussion of their results, giving us glimpses into the rich historical and archaeological heritage of this unique part of the Maine coast.
