“See-der” Waxwings at the Wendell Gilley Museum

Southwest Harbor -

SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Members and Friends of the Wendell Gilley Museum in Southwest Harbor are invited to come “see-der” waxwings and more at the annual holiday open house and carving show at 4 p.m.  Sunday, Dec. 19. The completed carvings, works-in-progress and other recent works by members will be on display for the afternoon. Warm up by the Museum’s Finnish Fireplace with some holiday refreshments, praise your artistic neighbors and learn how you can join the fun this winter. Outside the Museum, see the Hairy Woodpeckers that inhabit the Don Rambadt sculpture, Secondary Growth, dressed in their winter holiday finery. Discover if the matching fund goal to acquire the sculpture has been met or help take it to the top, if it has not.
