SULLIVAN, Maine — Storyteller and puppeteer, Rick Adam, will host a¬† week of programs for children and families at Frenchman’s Bay Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, in Sullivan. In his “Shadowtales” Adam will use shadows made by his hands and simple cutouts to illustrate familiar stories, tales and fables from around the world in support of the Library’s summer reading theme of “One World,Many Stories.” The “Shadowtales” are inspired by Aesop, Kipling, Shakespeare, folk traditions, and Rick Adam’s own imagination.

The “Family Reading Fun Week” of Frenchman’s Bay Library’s summer reading program continues on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 23-25, with a story and craft time at 1:30 p.m. each day.¬† A $10 donation to the festival per person has been requested. Families are requested to meet at the Library at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday to car-pool to the Festival. For more information, call 422-2307 or email jreece@frenchman.lib.me.us.
