DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The Piscataquis County Economic Development Council announces the awarding of two Project Canopy grants from the Maine forest Service to the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Monson. The $7,990 grant to Dover-Foxcroft will provide 15 mature sugar maple trees to be planted along the main thoroughfares of the town, while 22 other spring flowering trees will be planted along the Piscataquis River. Thew $7,940 grant to Monson will provide 27 sugar maple trees for downtown renewal. The new trees will provide a significant addition to the areas. For more information, call Ken at 564-3638.
