PRESQUE ISLE – Maine’s original country rebel, Kelly Parker and the Kelly Parker Band, look to return to their Maine roots and heat up the stage this summer in Portland with a special Old Port Festival appearance on the WPOR 101.9 country stage on Sunday, June 13th at NOON.
Gearing up for a summer tour that will include shows with country legends such as Travis Tritt, Keith Anderson (who co-wrote “Lost In This Moment” with Big and Rich) to new comers James Otto and a special upcoming performance at the 63rd Annual 2010 Maine Lobster Festival (sharing the stage with Clint Black), Maine native Kelly Parker’s impassioned and heartfelt vocals have charmed audiences ranging from small intimate clubs and honky tonks to larger arenas performing with and opening for Josh Turner, Williams Riley Band, Grammy Award winner Brad Paisley, Jodee Messena, Keith Urban and more.
The Old Port Festival, now in it’s 37th year, combines musical artists, street vendors, artists, artisans and more in celebration of this unique and historic neighborhood situated along the Portland Harbor. From Thai cuisine to buffalo-wings, rock and roll to country music, this annual event continues to grow in size and magnitude with every passing year.
Combining the picturesque beauty of the Old Port with one of the region’s top original country artists, this energetic and expressive stage show is sure to please fans of all ages.
