Play, Reenactment spotlight life in the American Revolution

ORONO, Maine — “The Hessian Officer in America” a play from 1783, will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Hauck Auditorium, on the UMaine campus.Tickets, available at the auditorium, are $10 for adults¬† and $5 for students. Proceeds will benefit the Maine Forest & Logging Museum, Leonard’s Mills in Bradley. The play is supported by the Maine Humanities Council.

In conjunction with the play in Orono, there will be a reenactment, “Life in the American Revolution” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17-18, at the Maine Forest & Logging Museum in Bradley.

Ticket prices for the reenactment are $5 for adults and $3 for children, with members free.  For  more information, visit www.leonardsmills.com.
