HOLDEN, Maine –Â Get out of the house with your little ones during the chilly winter season to explore and enjoy nature at Fields Pond Audubon Center . Nature Time, for children ages 2-4 with a participating caregiver, is a program that helps to unfold the wonders and mysteries of nature to young budding naturalists.
Winter is an exciting time as snow flies through air, some animals change their colors, strange tunnels and footprints appear on the ground, and the sun warms the coldiest of days. Nature Time provides learning explorations through books, hands-on activities, movement, and craft projects. Caregivers participate in the adventures.
Nature Timers always venture outside for a fun guided nature walk with Maine Audubon naturalist, Holly Twining. Please dress accordingly and come prepared with plenty of curiousity.
Nature Time, the winter session of 7 classes, will be held Thursdays, January 5 – February 16, from 10-11:00 a.m. The cost for the session is $35 for members of Maine Audubon and $42 for nonmembers. Advance registration is required, call 989-2591.
