Native American Drum-Making Workshop

ALTON – Hirundo Wildlife Refuge is pleased to host Ta’pit /David Slagger, member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, for his Native American drum-making workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 28 and a Drumming and Singing Circle from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday June 11 on 15 Hudson Rd (Rte. 43) Alton/Old Town. Take Gate 1, ~1/2 to Pine Tree parking lot; the shelter is further on the left. This will conclude Ta’pit Slagger’s  Native American Workshop Series.  Through song and stories Ta’pit has presented Maine’s First Nations People culture for the last 20 years to students of all ages throughout the state.
