LOCAL RED CROSS RESPONDS TO THREE MAJOR FIRES IN THREE DAYS

Bangor Bar Harbor Trenton -

BANGOR РStaff and volunteers from the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross responded Monday morning to a major apartment fire in Bangor.  According to Chapter Emergency Services Director Gretchen O’Grady, at least six people living at the burning apartment, at the corner of Center and McKinley Streets, were assisted by the Red Cross.  The Bangor disaster relief response follows help for eight people after two Hancock County fires over the weekend. On Saturday, the Pine Tree Chapter helped four people burned out in Bar Harbor. On Sunday night, four Trenton residents escaped a fire with only the clothes on their backs.
