MILLINOCKET – On Sunday July 18, 2010 recognized artist Marsha H. Donahue of Millinocket will be participating in Paint for Preservation 2010, a Wet Paint auction held in Cape Elizabeth, Maine to benefit the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust’s Saving Cape’s Great Places initiative. Participating artists were selected through a juried process by Portland Press Herald art critic and historian Danial Kany.
On the day of the event, twenty-nine artists from throughout New England will paint en plein air at designated public and private locations chosen to highlight Cape Elizabeth’s natural beauty. The Land Trust will publish a map of the atrists’ locations so that members of the public may view the artists at work. That evening, the newly painted artwork will be auctioned live at a tented catered reception at Breakwater Farm, a beautiful seaside setting overlooking Richmond Island. The reception will feature live music by Cul De Sax. a saxophone quartet.
