License now to avoid late fees after Jan. 31

CARIBOU, Maine — Dog licenses for 2012 are available at the City Clerk’s Office, in the Municipal Building, 25 High St. Pursuant to Maine law, all dogs and wolf hybrids in the State of Maine, six months or older, shall be licensed by Jan. 1 of each calendar year. Current proof of rabies vaccination must be presented if not already on record. The fees are $11 and $6 for all sprayed and neutered dogs, provided proof of such is presented. A late fee of $25, in addition to the license fee will become effective after Jan. 31, 2012. For more information, call 493-3324, ext. 221.
