SULLIVAN – Frenchman’s Bay Library hosts the second of four “Community conversations about the Environment” at 7 p.m. Monday Sept. 27.¬† The Librarian, Dr. Jennifer Reece, will begin the evening by sharing information and resources from the recently held Common Ground Fair in Unity. Contributing to the conversation about sustainable agriculture will be Charlotte Young and Jim Baranski, owners of Shalom Orchard Organic Farm and Winery in Franklin. Also present will be farm apprentices and “WWOOFers”– Willing Workers on Organic Farms. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Community Room of the Sullivan-Sorrento Recreation Center, just East of the Hancock-Sullivan bridge on US Hwy 1 in Sullivan. The Conversations will continue on October 11 with “Energy Conservation for the Home” and on October 25 with “Sustainable fisheries in the Gulf of Maine.”
