Lou Charlett Woodworking at The Maine Crafts Guild Show

BAR HARBOR, Maine — Come and meet some of Maine’s finest professional craftspeople who create heirloom quality work in wood, metal, clay, natural fibers, glass, and so much more. Browse the marketplace, and savor your choices! It’s all handmade locally, right here in Maine, by craftspeople who dedicate their lives to making the finest contemporary and traditional work that stands the test of time.

The Maine Crafts Guild, the group responsible for the 36-years running MDI Directions Fine Crafts Show, now brings you a second show on the island. By showing their work at an accessible downtown Bar Harbor location, the Guild members expand on their popular Mount Desert Island tradition of displaying and selling handmade work. Come join the celebration of the finest in crafts on Eden St. on the north end of town in Bar Harbor! Visit this seaside inn and conference center to shop the finest of Maine artisans… it’s a wonderful way to savor the last days of August, for locals and visitors alike. Admission: $5; children admitted free.

The event is coordinated by Linda Perrin, a glass blower and a longstanding member of the Maine Crafts Guild. “I love the idea of bringing the community together again towards the end of summer.
