STATEWIDE – Maine Prep, Maine’s largest SAT prep company, will begin training Sanford High School teachers to teach the Maine Prep TEN FOR TEN curriculum. The 3-day, 12-hour course will take place at the Maine Prep offices, 22 Parker’s Way, Brunswick, beginning July 27. The Sanford teachers will begin teaching the Maine Prep SAT prep curriculum to their students at Sanford High School during the 2010-11 school year. The curriculum is designed to teach students strategies to use in the math, writing and reading sections of the SAT.
The Maine Prep TEN FOR TEN curriculum is already in place at several Maine High Schools, including Lewiston High School, Monmouth Academy and Cape Elizabeth High School. Students in South Portland High School’s TestWise course, which has used the Maine Prep program for six years, have posted significant demonstrable gains in their SAT scores.
Qualified Maine Prep coaches from Bangor to Kennebunkport are available to train teachers throughout Maine. Maine Prep was founded to help Maine students raise standardized test scores and be more competitive when applying for college admission and financial aid.
