Free Photos with Santa and Half-Off Sale Benefit Senior Center

Holden -

HOLDEN – Aunt Nellie’s Attic, the retail and resale store that benefits the Hammond Street Senior Center, is hosting a two-day free photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs. Claus as part of its annual “Super Store wide Half-Off Everything Holiday Sale,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday,  Dec. 10-11 located at 223 Main Road (Route 1A) Holden.

Not only can you get your family’s photo taken with “the Clauses” anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Aunt Nellie will even give you the disposable camera that the picture is taken with as an early holiday gift to shoppers.

“This is as much an event as it is a sale,” said Aunt Nellie’s Attic manager Kathy Clegg. “Four Senior Center members share the Santa and Mrs. Claus responsibilities. Other members volunteer as retail clerks and cashiers, while still others help stocking the shelves. That doesn’t include all seniors who volunteer behind the scenes for weeks processing new merchandise and preparing inventory to get everything ready,” explained Clegg, who is also a member and an art instructor at the Senior Center.
