BANGOR – The Ohio Street Farmer’s Market has added WIC and EBT/Snap as customer options to use when purchasing fresh produce. Market Manager, Rolf Staples, Sr. said that the purpose of the market is to make locally grown produce available to all members of the community and that these options make it possible. Along with fresh vegetables, the vendors are now offering meats, baked goods, apples, cider, and eggs. Some produce offered is certified organic and all are nutritious and affordable. The market is held on the Bangor Grange property at 1192 Ohio Street, across from Finson Rd. and on the BAT route, and runs from 2-6PM every Thursday through October.
