Eastern Maine Pagan Pride hosts Bacchanalian Ball.

Hampden -

HAMPDEN -  The Eastern Maine Pagan Pride Association is hosting a Bacchanalian Ball from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Hampden VFW Hall, 41 Canoe Club Road in Hampden.

Bacchanalia is an ancient festival celebrating the Greek God, Bacchus – the God of wine, revelry, and merriment. Our Bacchanalian Ball will feature live music for dancing; a chocolate buffet; a home-brewed mead, wine, and beer tasting; and a live auction of wonderful crafts and services, hosted by Bacchus himself. Home-brewers are welcome to submit their best brews for tasting; a prize will be awarded to the crowd favorite.
The theme is Dreaming of Midsummer Nights. Interpretive formal dress is requested; faerie wings, masks, prom/formal wear, and kilts are just fine. Suggested donation is $5 per person. Must be 21 or older to attend.

For an ongoing list of donations and delicacies, please visit our website: www.emppa.org, or check out our group on Facebook: Eastern Maine Pagan Pride Day. To donate to the auction, please e-mail mtngoddess2001@yahoo.com.
