Downeast Seminar featuring “Treasure of Downeast”

Castine, Ellsworth, and Searsport -

ELLSWORTH – Downeast Seminar featuring ‚ÄúTreasures of Downeast Maine‚ÄĚ is a collaborative project between Penobscot Marine Museum, Wilson Museum and Woodlawn Museum where participants will explore the traditions and stories of Downeast Maine through keynote talks, interactive lectures, and hands-on experiences. The seminar will occur over three days,¬† Sept. 15-17, with each institution hosting one day. Partnering with the three institutions are the Farnsworth Art Museum, Abbe Museum, Northeast Historic Film, Maine Maritime Academy, Castine Historical Society and Maine Historic Preservation Commission.

Registration is required by September 1. Fee for the full three-day seminar is $300; two days – $250. Registration is limited to 50 participants. To register, contact Woodlawn Museum at educator@woodlawnmuseum.org or telephone (207) 667-8671.
