Donn Fendler library guest at open house

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Public Library will celebrate 100 years of library services with an Open House¬† from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at 30 High St. in Caribou. The Library will host special guest, Donn Fendler, who will be on hand to discuss his harrowing adventures as a young boy and being lost on Mount Katahdin as depicted in Joseph B. Egan book ‚ÄúLost on a Mountain in Maine.‚ÄĚ ¬†Fendler who is now in his early 80‚Äôs will also do a book signing. ¬†Books will be available for $6 each. Staff members will be dressed in period clothing and participants are invited to dress in period clothing if they would like.
