Create Pull-String Puppets at the Wilson Museum

Castine -

CASTINE РCreate your own Pull-String Puppet at the Wilson Museum from 1-4pm on Friday, July 9th.  Staff member Michelle Ferguson will be leading a hands-on activity constructing wooden pull-string puppets. The puppets move their arms and legs at the pull of a string and children will be able to assemble and paint them. The activity goes hand-in-hand with the museum’s new exhibit, Pastimes from Times Past: Vintage Toys, which will be on view throughout the summer. The exhibit showcases train sets, games, dolls, and puppets from the past two hundred years. The Wilson Museum is located at 120 Perkins Street in Castine. The activity is open to children ages 6-12 accompanied by an adult, and there will be a charge of $5.00 per doll for materials. Please register for this program by contacting 326-9247 or info@wilsonmuseum.org.
