Blue Hill Public Library Play Reading

Blue Hill -

BLUE HILL – The public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library Play Reading Group on from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Library. The play selected is Enter Laughing, loosely based upon the novel of the same name by Carl Reiner. The story is about a young man whose parents want him to become a pharmacist, but he wants to be an actor. One day David tries out for a part in a play, and gets it, despite his obvious lack of both acting experience and ability. To play his part, David must come up with his own costume – a tuxedo – and pay the house five dollars a week as “tuition.” The part calls for him to “enter laughing.”
The group welcomes inexperienced and experienced readers alike. The only criteria are the love of plays and the joy of reading them aloud among like-minded theater fans. For more information, call 374-5515 or  e-mail Donahue.mg@gmail.com.
