Blue Hill Public Library Film Series Continues

Blue Hill -

BLUE HILL – The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library’s “Rarely Shown On TV, Must See Movie Series” will show “Good morning Vietnam!”  at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, in the library’s Howard Room.  Good Morning Viet Nam! (1987), starring Robin Williams, Barry Levinson, and Tung Tahnh Tran. In the film, the character played by Williams finds himself suddenly shipped from Crete to Vietnam as an Armed Forces Radio disc jockey. He tries humor in a place where humor is hard to find and ends up turning the studio and his broadcasts on their ears, becoming wildly popular with the troops.  The last film in this third Thursday of the month series will be Chariots of Fire on June 16.  For more information, call 374-5515 or Donahue.mg@gmail.com.
