Blue Hill Library: January Playreading

Blue Hill -

BLUE HILLРThe public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library Play Reading Group from 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the Library. The play selected for January is one of William Shakespeare’s greatest plays, King Lear. This tragic play relates the story of King Lear who descends into madness from the consequences of foolishly disposing of his estate between two of his three daughters as a result of their flattery. The play is based on the legend of Leir of Great Britain, a mythological pre-Roman Celtic king.
The group welcomes inexperienced and experienced readers alike. The only criteria are the love of plays and the joy of reading them aloud among like-minded theater fans. For more information, contact the Blue Hill Library at 374-5515 or Michael Donahue at 374-5248 (or Donahue.mg@gmail.com).
