WINTER HARBOR, Maine — The Schoodic Education and Research Center will present The Birds of Mount Desert Island and Cuba: What Ties Us Together? part of the Schoodic Series Lecture with Michael Good at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Moore Auditorium on the SERC campus.
Fall is the time of year when the birds we see here in Maine begin to make their way south for the winter. This illustrated lecture by Michael Good will feature the birds that live around Mount Desert Island in the summer but make Cuba their home in the winter. He will focus on these migratory species and the challenges they face each year on their journeys and their destinations.
