Author Reading: Monet’s Passion

BLUE HILL – Well-known author, artist and gardener Elizabeth Murray will talk about the recent re-publication of her gardening classic, Monet’s Passion, at the Blue Hill Public Library at 7pm on Thursday July 1st.  Murray helped to restore Monet’s garden in Giverny, France in 1985. She has since returned annually to do photography, and makes calendars and fine art prints, and gives lectures. This latest edition is a completely new 20th anniversary edition of her popular book that has sold 250,000 copies.

Murray’s work is housed in several museums and private collections, including the De Young Museum of San Francisco and the New Orleans Museum of Art. She is the author of numerous gardening and art books, including Painterly Photography: Awakening the Artist Within and Cultivating Sacred Space: Gardening for the Soul. She resides in Monterey, California, where she designs gardens as healing spaces and teaches creativity classes using photography, painting, and flowers.
