Alexandra Cousteau, granddaughter of legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau

ST. ANDREWS –Alexandra Cousteau, granddaughter of legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau, will be on hand to raise funds for the Huntsman Marine Science Centre at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at the Shaughnessy Room of the historic Fairmont Algonquin.

The event in St. Andrews will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a “meet and greet” reception featuring light hors d’œuvre, cash bar, and the opportunity for guests to meet and mingle with Cousteau and the crew. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Cousteau and her team will present an exclusive preview of clips gathered from the field and discuss “Water Matters: An Entertaining Evening of Films and Stories.” Memorabilia from the expedition – works of art, and much more – will be offered in a silent auction throughout the evening.

Admission for the event, which is strictly limited in number, is $25 or $20 for children under 18. Reservations can be made online at www.huntsmanmarine.ca or by calling (506) 529-1200.
