BUCKSPORT – The “Convincer ” a safety belt demonstration that allows students to experience the impact of a low speed crash will be at Bucksport High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the school. Participants will buckle up into a seat, which then rolls down a 10 ft. incline, hitting a bumper at 5 mph. The demonstration is a great reminder of the importance of buckling up, even when driving short distances at slower speeds. This free demonstration is offered by Mid-Coast Emergency Medical Services, in cooperation with the Maine Bureau of highway Safety.
