BAR HARBOR -  Hayley Merchant recently opened Living Wellness, a holistic wellness practice, in downtown Bar Harbor. Merchant uses a hands-on healing system that works with an individual’s energy consciousness system to create physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Merchant is a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner.

Merchant has clients in Maine, Vermont and Texas. She works with clients in person or on the phone. Treatments can include physical disease, injury, mental or emotional disorders, unrest, depression, as well as clients who may feel perfectly healthy but need support when undergoing any one of life’s natural shifts. (Examples:  adolescence, puberty, fertility issues, and death)

Clients with diagnosed conditions are encouraged to keep working with a licensed physician. In such cases Merchant works with a client’s health care team to augment treatments and to inspire clients toward optimal self-care. Depending on the treatment required, clients may choose one visit or to continue on an ongoing basis.

As an integrated wellness therapist, Merchant’s approach to healing and personal transformation is holistic, focusing on the unique, complex, dynamic being of body, mind and spirit. She is as a committed listener and partner in the process of integrating the profound changes that occur when one enters into the personal transformative experience.

Treatments may include hands-on work, discussions about life experience, emotional triggers, nutritional training, authentic movement, body posturing, sound and dance. As a BSH practitioner, Merchant is trained to use hands-on healing techniques that charge the energy field, remove energetic blocks that lead to disease, and enhance the body’s natural healing capability. Clients often experience increased well-being and improvement in their condition, although the purpose is to help clients experience a better relationship with health and disease within their body.

Merchant sees clients by appointment and offers a free 20-minute phone consolation to determine if the client and practitioner are a good fit. For more information call Hayley Merchant at 207-479-2016, or hayleymoves@gmail.com.
