Rape Response services offers advocate training beginning Feb. 8

BANGOR, Maine — A comprehensive 40 hour training program for prospective volunteer advocates has been scheduled by Rape Response Services (RRS) beginning Feb. 8, at Penquis, located at 262 Harlow St. The mission is to offer hope, support and advocacy to victims and people affected by sexual assault and stalking, to provide education about sexual violence and to promote prevention. Volunteers must be 18 years old, complete comprehensive training and make a one year commitment.
