HOLDEN – On August 23rd and 24th, the nature center in Holden is offering a two-day family adventure focused on fascinating insects. Holly Twining, Maine Audubon naturalist, will lead the pack thru exciting discoveries.

Family adventures are a great way for campers, ages 4-6, to get a taste for exploration and share it with their favorite grownup. Come and be fascinated by six-¬legged creatures and all of the quirky things they can do. Spot bugs crawling under logs, swim¬ming in the water or walking through the grass. Create your own insect to bring home!

The nature program runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday and includes exploration, movement, crafts, songs and stories. The fee for the two-day family adventure insect program is $35 for Audubon members and $42 for non¬members. Enrollment is limited to ten families.

Please call Fields Pond Audubon Center at 989-2591 to register.
