BLUE HILL, Maine — A new exhibit, “Bowing to Moonlight: the Visionary Journals of Margaret T. Moulton” will be on display at the Blue Hill Public Library starting Friday, Dec. 2 and continuing through Jan. 30. The display will be in the Library’s Howard Room glass cases. Margaret invites the public to “experience the confluence of color, imagery and literary exploration” that characterizes her artistic journaling.
Describing her journals as “cyclic, reflective, personal and poetic,” Margaret goes on to say that they “reflect a lifetime of integrating language symbolism and innovative design into a singular stillpoint of daily practice.” She says that “journals hold the paradox of who we are… they are a rendering on paper of the light and dark within us.” This journal collection represents the 18 years that she has lived in Maine.
In addition to journaling, Margaret enjoys nature, walking, photography, and poetry. The exhibit will be available for viewing during regular library hours when the Howard Room is not being used for meetings. For more information, call the Library at 374-5515.
