Domestic Violence Awareness Event

BREWER, Maine — The Spruce Run Association, partnering with Brewer High School Field Hockey to Paint Penobscot County Purple will host a kickoff event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.¬† Brewer Field Hockey Coach Duffy Doiron and her team will host Hampden Academy¬† for a Paint Penobscot County Purple Domestic Violence Awareness Game.

Paint Penobscot County Purple Campaign is an awareness raising event that happens during October to encourage individuals, businesses, schools, towns and faith communities to feature the color purple to show support for a safe and healthy Penobscot County.

This event kicks off a month filled with awareness raising events for the community to participate in, including our Knowledge Empowers Campaign; Clothesline Project Events; A Walk to End Abuse In Lincoln; Restaurant fundraisers and more.
