BANGOR – The Salvation Army Bangor Citadel Corps will accept applications for Christmas assistance from families and individuals in need during the month of November. Those in Need of Christmas Help who Reside in Bangor, Brewer, Exeter, Glenburn, Hermon, Holden, Kenduskeag, Levant, Orrington, or Veazie, and areÂ Children Aged Infant â€“ 17.
The application process Takes place Nov. 1 â€“ Nov. 29 from 9-11:30 a.m.Â Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20. This process will take place at The Salvation Army, 65 S. Park Street. For information, call 941 2990.
Documentation Required to Process Application:
1) Proof of Residency:
a. Current TANF, Social Security Statements, and/or Utility Bill
2) Proof of Dependants:
a. Current TANF Statement that lists children, MaineCare ID Card, Social Security Cards, Birth Certificates Court Papers for EACH child
3) Proof of Household Income:
a. Current TANF, Social Security Statements, Recent Pay stubs)
** Applicants should know childrenâ€™s clothing & shoes sizes
***Applicants should be aware that by applying for Christmas Help at The Salvation Army, they are agreeing to Not apply to other Christmas Assistance Programs.
