MILLINOCKET – Autism awareness fundraiser , Saturday, May 22, in Millinocket.¬†This year we decided to help a young man who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2 , who wrote his first book, to raise money to assist in the expense of publishing, . The book is about his life experiences of bullying, as he first hand has experienced this all his life but was targeted as a youngster in school to include high school. The working title is “Confessions of a High School Bully”. This is to raise awareness that Autism is so huge when this boy (who happens to be my son) was diagnosed there were 1 in every 10,000 kids diagnosed with this disorder, and also raises awareness of the bullying in our schools. Both very important messages. I hope you find this an interesting and important story, we all as a whole need to raise awareness and get the message out.
Please feel free to contact me, Crystal at 207 723-5001.
