Addiction in Families and Communities: The Issue and Solutions

Patten -

PATTEN – The whole community is invited to the Stetson Memorial UMC in Patten at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 for a round table discussion entitled: Addiction in Families and Communities: The Issue and Solutions. This discussion will be facilitated by Claire Desrosiers of Aroostook Substance Abuse Prevention.

Come and learn about the extent to which addictions affect the community. These addictions seem to control everyone’s life in some way, but that is not how it should be. In fact, we are not left without hope. The Lord has not given up on us, nor have His people. We will talk about how people and groups in this community are working to loosen these bonds that hold each person down.

An open dinner will begin at 6 p.m.

The Stetson Memorial UMC is located on the corner of Main Street and Houlton Street in downtown Patten. Please call the church at 528-2277 with any questions.
