BANGOR, Maine — The application deadline for Rotary Club of Bangor grant opportunities for nonprofits serving youth and seniors in the greater Bangor area is Sept. 16. The complete request for proposal is available at www.bangorrotary.org.
Grants will be awarded in early June 2012 and funds may not be used for programs taking place prior to that date.
Applications that demonstrate how the program builds leadership skills, promotes community service, and/or engages Rotarians as volunteers are preferred and electronic submissions are preferred.
Email a one page narrative in Word format, to Scott Boucher: firstname.lastname@example.org. The email should include the nonprofit‚Äôs contact information, including name, address and phone number.
Paper submissions must also be received by Sept. 16 and can be mailed to Scott Boucher, Barresi Financial, P.O. Box 2520, Bangor 04402.
Next March, the club will sponsor Music Off Broadway, its annual major fundraiser and the net proceeds from that event will benefit local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving youth to 18 and seniors 65-and-older in the Bangor-Brewer area.
