HOLDEN – Fields Pond Audubon Center is offering a broad range of day long summer programs in July for every nature-loving child in the Bangor area.
Tuesday, July 13th for ages 6-8: Be the wild things – build a shelter, identify edible native plants and create your wild thing banner with natural materials.
All About Frogs and Salamanders
Thursday, July 15 for ages 7-9: Find, identify and gently handle frogs and salamanders while observing, catching, examining and releasing them.
Friday, July 30 for ages 8-10: Explore some of the adaptations fur-bearing animals use to stay cool in the summer. Take home a plaster cast of a mammal’s track.
All programs run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are held at the Center. The cost is $50 per day. Reserve a space for your child by contacting the Fields Pond Audubon Center at (207) 989-2591 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This summer Fields Pond Audubon Center has created programs that give kids the space to celebrate the best experiences summer has to offer. Openings are still available for children, ages 6-12, in both Week-long Nature Connections Day Camps. Session I: July 19-23 and Session II: August 16-20. The camp day starts at 9a.m. and ends at 3p.m. The cost is $200 for members of Maine Audubon and $250 for nonmembers. Scholarships are available.
