Summer Courses for Educators coming to Bangor

Bangor -

BANGOR, Maine — The American Institute for Creative Education (AICE) is pleased to offer the following summer courses for all area educators. July 18 – 21, 2 courses will be held at All Saints Catholic School, Bangor. Teaching the Exceptional Child: is the state mandated course. Emphasis will be placed on the education of exceptional students in
regular classroom programs and Brains On Fire: Rekindling Imagination in the Classroom may be applied toward the 690 (Gifted & Talented) endorsement for the State of Maine teachers. This course will be an in-depth look at the significant role the arts can play in learning.
In August, 3 new classes will be offered at All Saints. August 1-4: US History: The Spirit of the First People’s which will include a field trip to Indian Island and Curriculum and Instruction for Gifted and Talented Learners which can be applied toward the 690 (Gifted & Talented) endorsement for the State of Maine teachers.
Teaching Character Development in the Classroom August 16-18 will explore the society and culture in which we live and its impact on character development within children.
