Maine Prep Expands to Waterville, Maine

WATERVILLE¬† – Maine Prep, Maine’s premier SAT and ACT prep company, is expanding its business to include SAT prep classes for high school students in the Waterville, Maine area. The Brunswick based SAT prep company has also hired a Waterville teacher, Dan Meade, to meet the demands of additional classes.

SAT prep classes will take place at The Maine Children’s Home, 93 Silver St., Waterville. The eight-week Maine Prep course, designed to teach students strategies to use in the math, writing and reading sections of the SAT  begins  at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 and meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. every Monday evening until January 17. Classes prepare students for the January 22 SAT test.

The course is taught by Dan Meade, the newest addition to the Maine Prep faculty. Dan is a native of Dover-foxcroft, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College and received his Masters in Physics from the University of New Hampshire. He taught math and physics at The Williston Northampton School, Cony High School, Bridgton Academy, and Phillips Exeter Academy. He currently teaches at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor and will teach at Husson University next semester. For over ten years, Dan designed and developed fiber optic cable products for transoceanic telecommunications. Honors include State of Maine Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa and Hall Physics Prize. He is married with three grown children.
