BAR HARBOR, Maine -  The MDI YMCA’s ‘Learn to Fish Camp’ will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 1-5, at the MDI Y in Bar Harbor. Each morning, campers visit local watering holes like Craig Pond, Little Long Pond, Hamilton Pond and more, learning about ecosystems and the various species of fish that live in them. The children also visited the Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery in East Orland and learned about the program to raise and stock juvenile Atlantic salmon for Maine waters. The campers practice catch and release – all catches are returned to their natural environment. For more information, call 288-3511.
