BELFAST, Maine — The Food for Life nutrition and cooking classes will be offered from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Oct. 1,6,22 and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the Education Center at Waldo County General Hospital. Participants will get to sample a number of recipes.
The classes will be taught by MiMi McGee of Appleton, who has a Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University and is a Food for Life cooking instructor for The Cancer Project.
The cost of the four-class series is $80 per person. Scholarships are available for patients in cancer treatment or caregivers for patients in cancer treatment. For more information or to register, call 930-2650 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
