BELFAST – The final fall AARP driver safety course workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Reynolds House, located off Congress St. and Route 1 in Belfast.
AARP Driver Safety instructor Paul Sheridanâ€™s will teach defensive driving techniques and strategies, traffic laws, rules of the road and more in the four-hour course. The class will discover how to adjust driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time through an interactive discussion about the changing technology on newer vehicles and the warning signs that suggest itâ€™s time to give up the keys. Best of all, in Maine, drivers 55 years or older who successfully complete the AARP course are eligible for a car insurance discount, good for three years.
Course seating is limited; this is the last class for this year; there is a $14 fee, with a $2 discount for AARP members; advanced registration is required. Call 338-0350 to reserve a seat, directions, or for more information.
